DREMA Health provides comprehensive psychiatric and mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults across Maryland through secure Telehealth appointments.

We specialize in psychiatric evaluations and medication management with supportive care for children, adolescents & adults across Maryland, and we collaborate with you and your therapist in the process. While patients have the freedom to opt for medication management alone, we believe therapy and medication work best together as a form of holistic care. Our role is to support, not replace your therapist by optimizing your mental health treatment plan. ​

At DREMA Health, our rapid access model allows patients to receive timely, same-week appointments without long waitlists. We believe mental health care should be accessible when it’s needed most. Our goal is to fill the growing gaps in access to timely, high-quality mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults in Maryland. Long wait times, insurance barriers, and fragmented care models often prevent individuals from receiving the support they need when they need it most. DREMA Health has been created to make a difference in these various areas.

Our Team
 Mariel Akinboye, MSN, DNP, CRNP, PMHNP is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with clinical experience across outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings. She got her master in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and her doctorate degree from Maryville University, Missouri. She started out as a nurse in medicine and later transitioned to the psychiatric specialty where she has been practicing for over five years. After identifying  her skills in caring for this population, she decided to return to school for a more advanced, evidenced based practice exposure that can further enhance patient care, and improve care outcomes for the behavioral health population. Over the course of her career and education, she developed a very strong passion in patient advocacy, crisis management, therapeutic communication, treatment support and general  patient care coordination. Drawing from both frontline clinical practice and systems-level training, DREMA Health Center was created with a clear mission: to provide accessible, ethical, and whole-person psychiatric care through secure Telehealth.

 

At DREMA, we create a judgment-free zone so our patients can be themselves. By leveraging telehealth and purpose-built mental health technology, DREMA Health Center reduces traditional barriers such as travel, scheduling delays, and stigma while maintaining high standards for safety, privacy, and clinical quality. As our practice grows, our long-term vision includes expanding service offerings, forming community partnerships, and improving access to mental health care for people.

​Our mission is to support patients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use disorder and life stressors with culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care. Our approach to care is collaborative, culturally responsive, and focused on long-term wellness. Our goal is meet our patients where they her and help them achieve optimal health as we contribute our part in changing lives, one patient at a time.
