Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At DREMA Health Center, we are committed to providing high-quality psychiatric and mental health services. Due to the nature of scheduled clinical care, the following refund policy applies to all self-pay services.

Refund Policy - the basics

No Refunds for Completed Services

All services rendered including psychiatric evaluations, medication management visits, and psychotherapy sessions—are non-refundable once completed.

What to include in the Refund Policy

Appointment Cancellation Policy

  • Patients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a:

  • Late Cancellation Fee: $75 (or full session fee if you prefer stricter policy)

  • No-Show Appointments:

  • Patients who fail to attend their appointment without notice will be charged : $100

Prepaid Services & Packages

  • For any prepaid services (including bundled care plans or discounted packages):

  • Unused sessions may be eligible for partial refund, minus:

  • Administrative processing fee ($25–$50 recommended)

  • Cost of services already used at standard (non-discounted) rate

  • Used sessions within a package are recalculated at full price, and the remaining balance (if any) is refunded

  • Expired packages are non-refundable

 

Subscription / Monthly Care Plans (If Applicable)

  • For patients enrolled in a monthly care plan:

  • Payments are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins

  • Patients may cancel future billing at any time with:

  • 7-day notice before next billing cycle

  • No prorated refunds for partially used months

Technical Issues (Telehealth)

  • If a session is disrupted due to technical issues:

    • The provider will attempt to reconnect or continue via alternative method (phone)

  • Refunds or credits may be issued at provider discretion only

Emergency Situations

Exceptions may be made in rare cases such as:

  • Medical emergencies

  • Hospitalization

  • Verified extenuating circumstances

Documentation may be required. Approval is at the sole discretion of DREMA Health Center.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method only

Insurance & Superbills

  • DREMA Health Center operates as a self-pay practice

  • Patients receiving a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement are responsible for:

    • Submitting claims to their insurance

    • Any denied claims or non-reimbursement

No refunds will be issued based on insurance claim outcomes

  Agreement

By scheduling and/or paying for services, patients acknowledge and agree to this refund policy.
